Seasonal Flu shots will be available from our
friends at the Cathedral City Senior Center on Tuesday, November 3rd from
10:00 - Noon. While you are there, make sure you check out all of their
vendors at their community expo!

The Flu Shot program has been completed and was
a great success. All of the vaccine we had available was used for the
seniors in the community.
If you are seeking a flu shot or want
information regarding the H1N1 vaccine, please contact the County of
Riverside Health Department at 1-888-246-1215.

Would like to thank our friends at CVS in Palm Springs for their support
of the Mizell Flu shot clinic. CVS contributed a variety of supplies to
our event. Great folks over there.

According to the weekly Flu Map from the
Center for Disease Control, the flu is now "Widespread" in most of the
states.

The flu shot clinic will be next Friday and everything is
moving along smoothly. A new sponsor has joined the supporters, Palm
Springs Disposal. With the sponsors assistance, we will be able to give up
to 600 flu shots next Friday.
The Senior Living Expo has sold out, so
expect a great representation of businesses and agencies that provide
senior and community services.
Please know there there is overflow parking
at the library and the pavilion parking lots and free shuttle service will
be available. Call the Senior Center to make your appointment for your
shot today.

Final preparations are in process for the Flu Shot Clinic
and Senior Living Expo. Although H1N1 is on everybody's mind, everyone
needs to get the Seasonal Flu shot for complete protection.

The date for the Flu Shot Clinic and Senior Living Expo
has been set for Friday, October 16th.
This year it is very important to receive a
seasonal flu vaccination, even if you receive a shot for the H1N1 virus.
Keeping as healthy as possible this flu season is vital.
