French Lessons
Bonjour! These educational beginning French classes are perfect if you want to learn conversational French for an upcoming trip or just want to have some fun and begin to learn another language. 

The instructor has a master’s degree in French and has taught French and Spanish on both a high school and college level for over thirty-five years. He has traveled extensively and his experience can be shared with others to make communicating easier when traveling.

Spanish Conversation Group

This informal Spanish language conversation group is a group of Spanish language students who get together weekly to read and converse in Spanish. This is a perfect way to keep your ability current and to learn more of the Spanish language in a casual and supportive environment. Some knowledge of Spanish is necessary to participate in this group. The group is free to Mizell members.

Mature Driving
AARP 55 Alive is the nation's first and largest classroom driver improvement course specially designed for motorists age 50 and older. It is intended to help older drivers improve their skills while teaching them to avoid accidents and traffic violations.
Classes on 2nd Monday and Tuesday, 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Fee: $12.00 for AARP members @14.00 for non-members

Classes are sponsored through AARP. Pre-registration is required. The attendee is required to be at both sessions. DMV certificate is good for three years. You cannot be given a reservation without paying the fee in advance. If in an emergency you cannot use your reservation, please call and cancel as soon as possible before the start of the class so some other person can use your space. If you do this, your fee can be refunded. 55 Alive Mature Driving course is eight hours of classroom instruction.

Pastel Art Classes

Learn and explore techniques used for depicting your favorite subject in soft pastels. The unique properties of pastels, the various painting surfaces and related supplies will be shown and explained. The course will be geared toward realistic representational painting; however, each student will be encouraged to develop her or his personal style of expression. Topics for class discussions include composition, value ranges, perspective, color and light. Whether you are trying this medium for the first time or taking your pastel skills to the next level, each student will receive instruction in an atmosphere of artistic camaraderie. Pastels will be provided but some members may want to purchase their own easel.

Fridays, 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. 
 

Beginning Spanish
This eight week class is perfect if you have a limited (or no) knowledge  of Spanish and want to learn some basics. Class topics will  include: Greetings, Communication, Meeting People, Directions, Descriptions (time, colors, etc), Directions, Grammar and more! 
$75 for members and $100 for non-members for eight classes.
